Qigong Day for ACS and SCADuring a meeting in Dr Christine Ritter's clinic I was surprised that we went to the same teacher of Qigong! The teacher was Professor Jiao Guorui of Beijing TCM Academy just a few streets off Wangfuzhing and the Forbidden City.
无巧不成书, 我狂狂同 Blackbrook Clinic 的医生(她又是我的家庭医生)竟是气功同学, 同事北京中医学院焦国瑞教授习五禽功, 八段錦, 太极十五势等等. 焦老有三个师父, 都是赫赫知名的; 一为意拳始創人王乡斋, 另二为名医胡耀貞和道家奇人周溍川.
So I invited Christine to come to give a Qigong Talk for both members of Somerset Chinese Association and The Anglo Chinese Cultural Society.
The Date was 15th of October 2006, venue was Six Acres Centre, and interestingly was I got Fong, my favourite singer to recite some Tang Poems and my translations before the Qigong Talk.
Everything turned out very well, just a slightly disappointed is when Dr Ritter asked that how many of us had been learning Qigong and a handful of the English people raised their hands but only two chinese hands !
I think that I, or Dr Ritter should have to start a class in here for the Chinese before the ambarrasment goes out.
我是準备在华人協会周日中文学校开班专教太极及气功, 一切顺利可以明春成事. 也得看华人热烈的程度了!
